Whether he is wrong or right about Regent James Dean Leavitt, Chancellor Jim Rogers cannot resign. And I don't just mean that he doesn't have it in him to give in to anyone. First, I would be shocked if this band of misfits summoned up the courage to fire the TV mogul. Second, what are we in the media supposed to do if Rogers leaves? Whoever succeeds him would would never supply us with so much fodder. Where else in the world would an employee (Rogers) write a confidential memo about one of his bosses (Leavitt) in which he would refer to his putative superior's "total lack of knowledge and sophistication..."? No wonder Leavitt is gunning for him. I wonder how many bullets he has.
