Letter: We don’t belong on toll roads, in oil war

While Rep. Jon Porter is taking care of his interests by proposing toll roads to further gaff the visitors to Las Vegas and supporting President Bush's oil war, the French and Japanese are building people - moving high-speed trains.

Mr. Porter should look to Illinois, Indiana and Texas to see what countries own the toll roads. The politicians put them in and then dump them to foreign countries to make their profits. And as far as the oil war is concerned, the surge speaks for itself with eight more troops dead and another helicopter shot down.

Guarding the oil fields in Iraq is really Iraq's job. If Exxon Mobil and BP want security, they should hire their own people and arm them. Bring our troops home.
