Letter: Congress has more pressing matters at hand

Regarding the Las Vegas Sun's March 29 editorial headlined, "Honor the Tillman family - Congress should do as family asks, and hold hearings on the death of Pat Tillman":

I disagree. Congress has more important things to do. There are 535 people in Congress representing more than 300 million people. Although the death of Pat Tillman was tragic, a tremendous amount of time and resources have been expended in military and Pentagon investigations about his "friendly-fire" death, and people have been disciplined. Enough! Let's put it to bed.

Here are some topics that warrant Congress' attention:

The list goes on. These are the kinds of topics that Congress should be addressing. My heart goes out to the family of Pat Tillman and to all the families that have suffered losses, but we as a nation have to put it in perspective and move on.
