Letter: Diplomacy doesn’t work on terrorists

Correct me if I'm wrong, but what I hear from the leftist anti-war crowd is this: If we appease the terrorists, withdraw our troops, apply diplomacy and can just sit down and talk with them, we can defuse the whole situation and we can somehow quell this hatred they hold toward our Western democracy and culture.

If this is true, by applying this same logic to the war on crime, ergo, appease criminals, withdraw our police department and use diplomacy, we'll just sit down with the thieves, murderers and crackheads and talk.

And behold, the wonderful utopia the leftist anti-war crowd would leave us with. I think not. God help us from the foolishness of the left.
