Letter: Kerry’s faux pas comes at a bad time

When I heard about the latest John Kerry faux pas, I had to roll my eyes. If you're going to try to make a snide - if accurate - point about the incompetent Gaffer-in-Chief, somebody, somebody in your entourage had better make sure there will be no lexical/interpretive uninsured-motorist fender-bender like this one was.

The Bush Whisperer, Karl Rove, was just given a huge gift. The timing is really bad. The right-wing spin machine is going to run with this right to Election Day, substantive irrelevance notwithstanding. Maybe Rush Limbaugh will even now offer up a two-fer composed of Michael J. Fox jerkily making Kerry's ill-advised statement.
