Letter: Inappropriate venue for singer’s remarks

On Saturday morning in the Sun I read the San Francisco Chronicle's editorial about the Dixie Chicks and had to comment. The Dixie Chicks don't seem to get it. The reason everyone was so angry with them is not what they said about the president, but where they said it.

You don't slam the president of your country while in another country. Say anything you want about anyone you want, but not in a foreign country. Natalie Maines has got to be a moron if she doesn't understand that.

Emily Robison and Martie Maguire should find another lead singer, since she isn't all that good or irreplaceable. They can do better. Because of her stupidity, she brought the two of them down with her. So much for the Dixie Chicks ...
