Letter: Illegal immigrants a national affliction

Illegal - not sanctioned by official rules, unlawful, criminal, illegitimate, illicit, wrongful.

Ill eagle - a sick bird.

I adamantly oppose any kind of amnesty or "guest" work programs for illegal immigrants, regardless of their country of origin. Illegal means unlawful, criminal. Those who have entered this country illegally are criminals, period. They are no more entitled to the rights and privileges of this country than any other criminal.

Illegals are making the national bird of our country an ill eagle.
