Letter: Life is an option for unused embryos

Regarding Ed Howatt's statement about the "moral dilemma which President Bush hasn't even thought of," (July 24 letter headlined "What to do with unused embryos?"):

Actually, President Bush, along with a whole lot of other people, have thought of what to do with the frozen embryos stored at in vitro fertilization clinics. They can be and are being put up for adoption. There are plenty of people who desire to adopt babies - because they love children.

The adopted in vitro babies will be loved, cared for and nurtured, which is a whole lot better (at least for the babies) than putting them down a disposal, killing them for their stem cells or freezing them in perpetuity.
