Letter: Negative campaigning will cost positive vote
Tuesday, July 18, 2006 | 7:30 a.m.
Since the campaigning this year appears to be as negative as those in the past, I've decided to vote for the person the negativity is directed at.
I'm so tired of candidates who can't tell us their plans for solutions to the many problems facing our cities, states, etc. Their only agenda is to put down their opponents.
The voting public wants to know what ideas these candidates have, how much will it cost, how soon can it be implemented, how many committees does it have to go through to be approved?
Candidates should not make the rounds telling each group they speak to a bunch of lies. Tell us the truth!
Don't say anything about your opponent. Candidates, didn't your mother ever tell you if you didn't have anything good to say, then say nothing at all?
