FLASHPOINT for Jul 15, 2006
Saturday, July 15, 2006 | 7:49 a.m.
This is your first warning. It will not be your last. Two weeks from today, you can begin casting ballots as early voting begins. Don't. Please. So little attention has been paid to this primary because it was moved up from September to Aug. 15. It's always a bad idea to wait to vote until the day of the election it's a sign of sloth, impatience or ignorance. Are those values, to quote the ubiquitous Barbara Lee Woollen, that we want to pass on to our children? But especially this year, when so little information is out there so far, take your time. Wait until Aug. 15 or you may miss a bombshell or just more information since two gubernatorial debates take place after early voting begins. So wait. It'll be worth it.
