The race for Congress to replace Jim Gibbons is over. Sec- retary of State Dean Heller has sealed the victory with an endorsement from the much-vaunted Nevada State Law Enforcement Officers' Association. What? You say you haven't heard of NSLEOA? Where have you been? It's a Teamsters affiliate and is really, really important. And it is a well-considered endorsement. The letter to Heller says it is "based on your dedication to law enforcement, homeland security and your distinguished career in public service." No need to argue just yet about the third item. But law enforcement and homeland security? As secretary of state? Please. But the logo will look nice in a campaign ad.
