Flashpoint for Feb. 3, 3006

This is the natural dominos-falling speculation that follows someone's departure from a prominent position. As Carol Harter leaves the presidency of UNLV, many, including the chancellor and some regents, believe Boyd Law School boss Dick Morgan would be a fine successor. Morgan has done a phenomenal job at the law school and has nary a detractor. But if Morgan gets the nod, who takes over his current job? The perfect candidate: ex-Sen. Richard Bryan. Not surprisingly, Bryan already has been approached by some friends who see the Morgan domino falling in a few months. Bryan says he's flattered, but that he is quite happy at Lionel Sawyer & Collins. For now, that is.
