Regarding the Las Vegas Sun's Dec. 27 story, "Lawmaker wants economic impact data on immigrants," and whether illegal immigrants have contributed more dollars than we have spent on them:
Why does this matter? They are illegal, they are breaking our laws and if we Americans did this, we would be punished. There is a double standard here that shouldn't be.
No other country in the world would allow illegals to be in their country. Go to Mexico illegally and see how long you will be a free person there - not going to happen!
The problem is that government officials have turned their heads for too many years and it is totally out of control, and they have no idea how to remedy this situation.
