Letter: Iraq war is an utter failure
Friday, Dec. 1, 2006 | 7:20 a.m.
Now that the Iraq war has morphed into "U.S. exit strategy," aka "cut and run," one has to wonder why it took so long to finally acknowledge failure.
The al-Maliki government, if that term still has any meaning, is so dysfunctional that a meeting between Iraq's prime minister and President Bush had to take place in the safer capital of Jordan!
The Green Zone government of Iraq brings to mind a dollhouse I built for my two young daughters. They spent hours over "tea" debating and discussing their tangled affairs until their mother called them in to have their hot bath and watch "Sesame Street."
In the real world, we cannot blame our representatives in Washington or even the media for this farce and utter deception.
Only we , the gullible citizens of this great republic, are to blame.
