Letter: Parents need to be much more involved
Thursday, Aug. 17, 2006 | 7:34 a.m.
Why are we blaming the teachers because the parents are not doing their job? Would I have graduated from high school if my mother hadn't been looking over my shoulder to make sure I had done my homework?
I am all for raising teachers' pay, but that isn't going to make parents do their job any better. The parents should be sent to the principal's office if their kids don't make the grade.
