Letter: A glimpse into America’s future
Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2006 | 7:38 a.m.
This past weekend I was gazing into my crystal ball and I wish to share with you what I saw.
The subject was our border to the south. The year was 2010, it was a news article about President Jeb Bush making a trip to the southern border to inspect how tight our border security really is.
As the presidential motorcade came to a stop at the Mexican border in Lincoln, Neb., the president made the statement, "I don't know what all the fuss is about, I think the guest-worker program is working pretty darn good."
I certainly hope my crystal ball is wrong.
