StumbleDebut of sports book part of property transformation

A 24-hour bar and sports book called Pete and Shorty's Book and Bar has opened inside the Hotel San Remo -- the first step in a transformation of the property into a Hooters Casino Hotel.
The 696-room Hooters brand resort is expected to open in the first quarter of 2006 with a new marquee and several new restaurants, including the chain's namesake eatery.
The original Pete and Shorty's is located in Clearwater, Fla., which is also home to the Hooters restaurant chain.
