Investigators said Robert Diebler, 41, and 44-year-old Leah Brashear were killed in the accident between Winnemucca and Denio. Neither was wearing a seatbelt and both were ejected.

In the eastern part of the state, Mervin Wootan, 75, was killed when the pickup he was driving rolled over on U.S. 93. Wootan, who was wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two other adults were injured critically and were flown to Salt Lake City. A third adult received minor injuries and two children, who were secured in child restraints received minor injuries.
