Geraldine Mae Armstrong

Geraldine Mae Armstrong, 80, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born May 21, 1924, in New York state. A resident for 25 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Bruce Armstrong; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Barbara A. Benton

Barbara A. Benton, 67, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born April 6, 1937, in California. A resident for 2 1/2 years, she was a caregiver.

She is survived by one son, Richard; three daughters, Teresa, Karen and Cynthia; one brother, James; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Angela Cino

Angela Cino, 66, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born March 4, 1939, in Buffalo, N.Y. A resident for 25 years, she was a retired casino cashier.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen; two daughters, Joanne Misuraca and Benedetta Marinaro, both of Henderson; two sons, Stephen Cino of Henderson and Vincent Cino of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be 12:30 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Leo J. DiMatteo

Leo J. DiMatteo, 81, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. He was born Feb. 2, 1924, in Boston. A resident for 54 years, he was a retired owner-operator of a produce market, a World War II Army veteran and past president and active member of the Italian American Club.

He is survived by his daughter Teresa Forrest of Las Vegas; one son, Michael P. Forrest of Blufton, S.C.; one brother, Charles DiMatteo, and two sisters, Josephine Fagone and Mary DeMinico, all of Boston; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be 2 hours prior to a 6 p.m. vigil today in Christ the King Catholic Church, 4925 S. Torrey Pines Drive. Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday in Christ the King. Graveside services will be 9:20 a.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Rose Elkind

Rose Elkind, 93, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 8, 1911, in Russia. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired owner-operator of Swiss Cleaners of Worcester, Mass.

She was preceded in death by one son, Abbott Elkind.

She is survived by one daughter, Joy Siegel of Lexington, Mass.; one son, Clark Elkind of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane, is handling arrangements.

Thelma Frazier

Thelma Frazier, 68, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 18, 1937, in Redbird, Ky. A resident for 30 years, she was a housekeeper in the health care industry.

She is survived by three sons, Brian Frazier and Glen Frazier, both of Henderson, and Michael Frazier of Tennessee; four brothers, Gard Simpson, Rufus Simpson Jr. and P.M. Simpson, all of Kentucky, and Howard Simpson of Ohio; five sisters, Millie Winge and Hester Settles, both of Illinois, Sarah Burton of Arkansas, Martha Roark of Kentucky and Cory Adkins of Ohio; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Stephen Philippe Generaux

Stephen Philippe Generaux, 57, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 21, 1947, in Seattle. A resident for over 40 years, he was an owner-operator of an architect firm.

He is survived by his fiancee, Rebecca McMillan; three daughters, Genevieve Generaux, Vieandra Generaux and Chloe Generaux, and one son, Raoul Generaux, all of Las Vegas; his parents, Abbott and Violet Generaux, both of London; one sister, Michelle Generaux of Mesa, Ariz; and one brother, Timothy Generaux of Las Vegas.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Kathryn 'Merle' Humphrey

Kathryn "Merle" Humphrey, 73, of Henderson died Wednesday in Henderson. She was born Sept. 27, 1931, in Roseland, Ark. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired secretary for a law office.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Beverly Humphrey.

She is survived by one sister, Fern Stone of Battlement Mesa, Colo.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Graveside services will be 10:40 a.m. Tuesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Roman M. Jager

Roman M. Jager, 48, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 22, 1957, in Czechoslovakia. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired master electrician.

He is survived by his wife, Susanna; two sons, Robert Marc Jager and Peter Jager, and one daughter, Katharina Jager, all of Las Vegas; his parents, Wenzel and Maria Jager, both of Czechoslovakia.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 1 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, Cheyenne. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Debra Lee Jones

Debra Lee Jones, 49, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born March 3, 1956, in Ohio. A resident for 42 years, she was an insulator in the construction industry and a member of the Heat and Frost Insulators Union Local 135.

She is survived by her companion, Ted Glaud of Las Vegas; five brothers, Rick Johnson of North Las Vegas, and Charles Jones, Thomas Jones, Bob Johnson and Jimmie Johnson, all of Las Vegas; and two sisters, Valerie Johnson and Karon Langley, both of Texas.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m Sunday in Twin Lakes Baptist Church, 5700 Vegas Drive. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Richard Proctor Jr.

Richard Proctor Jr., 82, of North Las Vegas died May 11 in a local hospital. He was born May 21, 1922, in Tyler, Texas. A resident for 49 years, he was a porter at the Fremont hotel and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; one son, Dewayne Proctor, and three daughters, Alicia Proctor, Nikisha Proctor and Tiffany Proctor, all of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren.

Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. Sunday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Sandra Reilly

Sandra Reilly, 65, of Henderson died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 6, 1939, in Miami. A resident for 19 years, she was a retired pediatric medical supervisor.

She is survived by her husband, Bernard; one daughter, Shaula Mascaro of Atlanta; three sons, Terry Reilly and Joe Reilly, both of Winter Park, Fla., and Bruce Reilly of Palm Bay, Fla.; one sister, Ann Marie Lessor of Tomball, Texas; and 10 grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Peter's Catholic Church, 204 S. Boulder Highway. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

Betty L. Rockwell

Betty L. Rockwell, 75, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born May 4, 1930, in Ironton, Ohio. A resident for 51 years, she was a retired social worker for the county government.

She is survived by one daughter, Melanie J. Rockwell, and two sons, Dennis Rockwell and Mark Rockwell, all of Las Vegas; three sisters, Ginny Baker of Cumming, Ga., Ruth Crace of Middletown, Ohio, and Joann Young of Ironton; two brothers, William Akers of Middletown and Paul Akers of Nicholasville, Ky.; and three grandchildren.

Daniel Seaholta Jr., 55, of Las Vegas died April 29.

Eleanor Shapiro, 65, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born July 13, 1939, in New York City. A resident for 24 years, she was employed by the telephone company.

She is survived by one son, Steven Mark Shapiro of Kingston, N.Y.; one daughter, Beverly Merle Forkapa of Sunnyvale, Calif.; one sister, Marilyn Ruskin of Las Vegas; one brother, Raymond Brafman of New Yorl; and one grandchild.

Stacie C. Wallace

Stacie C. Wallace, 30, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 1, 1974, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, she was a vice president in credit reporting.

She is survived by her mother, Renee Barden of Las Vegas; and her father, Jerry Wallace of Henderson.
