Early voting looms for city elections

Registration for the June 7 general election ends Tuesday in Clark County, voting gets under way Wednesday in North Las Vegas, and the other cities open their polls May 21.
Residents can only register to vote through Tuesday at their city clerk's office. There will be special hours this weekend and extended hours today, Monday and Tuesday.
Voters will cast ballots in Boulder City, Henderson, Las Vegas and North Las Vegas. May 7 was the last day to register without appearing in person.
Boulder City's office, 401 California Ave., will be open for registration from 8 a.m. through 9 p.m. today through Sunday and from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday.
Las Vegas City Hall, 400 Stewart Ave., will be open 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. today through Tuesday.
North Las Vegas' clerk's office, 2200 Civic Center Drive, will be open 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. today through through Tuesday.
Henderson's, 240 Water St., will be open 7:30 a.m. until 9 p.m. today, Monday and Tuesday and 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Early voting starts Wednesday only in North Las Vegas, which conducts it at the city clerk's office through June 2. It holds early voting at various neighborhood sites through June 3.
Henderson starts its early voting May 21 at City Hall and also conducts it at various locations in the city's neighborhoods through June 3.
Boulder City holds early voting at City Hall from May 21 through June 3.
Las Vegas conducts early voting at City Hall from May 21 through June 3 and holds it at various Ward 6 neighborhood sites starting May 26.
