The number of homes sold in Las Vegas metropolitan area slipped slightly between March and April, the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors reported today.
In April, 2,957 single-family homes sold, down 5.4 percent from the 3,127 homes that sold in March, based on records from the association's Multiple Listing Service.
The median sales price of area homes in April reached $297,000, up slightly from the $295,000 reported in March. The average April price came in at $341,450, down from the March average of $354,313.
The number of homes sold in 30 days or less increased to 45.1 percent in April, up from 42.9 percent in March. In April 2004, however, 79.9 percent of homes sold in 30 days or less.
