Event to benefit Rape Crisis Center
Women Against Violence, a UNLV student group, will present a benefit production of Eve Ensler's "Vagina Monologues" at 7 p.m. Friday in the university's Arte` us Ham Concert Hall.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Rape Crisis Center of Southern Nevada, a nonprofit organization.
Tickets are $12 and can be purchased at the UNLV Performing Arts Center Box Office, by phone at 895-2787, or online at www.unlvtickets.com.
Dan Geary will be the guest speaker
at the League of Women Voters meeting 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Main Street Station. The program will be "Renewable Energy: Resources and Challenges in Nevada and the Economic Impact to Our State." For more information and reservations, call 464-7887.
