Book signing
Author Sharon Waxman will sign copies of her book, "Rebels on the Backlot," at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Reading Room at Mandalay Place, 3930 Las Vegas Blvd. South. Admission is free.
Craft Month
All ages are invited to make crafts at a free National Craft Month celebration from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Stupak Community Center, 300 W. Boston Ave. 229-2488.
'Community Roots'
