Robert J. Berstler
Robert J. Berstler, 85, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born March 15, 1920, in Glouster City, N.J. A resident for 45 years, he was a retired Navy chief petty officer and World War II veteran.
He is survived by one son, Robert John Berstler Jr. of Portland, Ore.; two daughters, Janis Sue Smith of Diamond Head, Miss., and Christy Lynn Bandics of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 1-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Eastern.
Dolores E. Hayden
Dolores E. Hayden, 90, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospice. She was born Jan. 1, 1915, in New Orleans. A resident for six years, she was a retired nurse's aide.
She is survived by one son, Edward Murphy Jr., and one daughter, Louise Murphy Clark, both of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is assisting Gaskin, Southall, Gordon & Gordon Mortuary, Inc., New Orleans, with arrangements.
Beulah E. Hines
Beulah E. Hines, 86, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 27, 1918, in Ferguson, Ky. A resident for one year, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by three daughters, Monna Hambleton of Las Vegas, Mora Kennamer of Van Vleck, Texas, and Cindy Dickel of Kalona, Iowa; one sister, Marie Coy of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Dennis C. Mezera
Dennis C. Mezera, 57, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born July 15, 1947, in Racine, Wis. A resident for six years, he was a retired county government public safety officer and a Vietnam War Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Vera; four sons, Anthony Thompson of Simi Valley, Calif., Roy Thompson and Adam Thompson, both of Las Vegas and Victor Thompson of Matteson, Ill.; his father, Matt Mezera of Midlothian, Ill.; and three grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Laura Morrison
Laura Morrison, 89, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 10, 1916, in Cleveland. A resident for 26 years, she was a retired sales clerk in the clothing industry and a volunteer for Jewish Family Services.
She is survived by two sisters, Muriel Berke and Harriet Roen, both of Henderson.
Visitation is private. Graveside services were 1 p.m. today in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane, handled arrangements.
Rosie Alice Olague
Rosie Alice Olague, 47, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. She was born March 23, 1958, in Amarillo, Texas. A resident for one year, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Paul Olague, and one daughter, Melissa Polanco, both of San Bernardino, Calif.; her parents, Virginia and Johnny Hernandez, and one brother, Johnny Hernandez Jr., all of Las Vegas; two sisters, Sylvia Polanco of Saugus, Calif., and Gloria Morrison of Apple Valley, Calif.; and one grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled noon until a 2 p.m. service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Reginald A. Plumridge
Reginald A. Plumridge, 89, of Boulder City died Wednesday in a local care center. He was born Oct. 24, 1915, in Toronto, Canada. A resident for 29 years, he was a retired commercial airline pilot and a member of TWA Retired Pilots Association.
He is survived by two daughters, Penny Huguenot of Mandalou, France, and Jill Entler of Bay Shore, N.Y.; one son, Richard Plumridge of Lafayette, Colo.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Alfreda V. Saja
Alfreda V. Saja, 85, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local health care center. She was born May 19, 1920, in Buffalo, N.Y. A resident for 22 years, she was a retired restaurateur.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Maryann Wiljala.
She is survived by two sons, Eugene Nawotka of Moreno Valley, Calif., and Paul R. Nawotka of Ransomville, N.Y.; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 1-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Christopher's Catholic Church, 1840 N. Bruce St.
Ed Sherwood
Ed Sherwood, 86, of Henderson died Friday in a local care center. He was born April 4, 1919, in Washington, D.C. A resident for six years, he was a retired chief executive officer in the marketing and advertising industry and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by three sons, Patrick Sherwood of Bloomfield Hills, Mich., and Michael Sherwood and Matthew Sherwood, both of Henderson; two daughters, Megan Sherwood of Lenox, Iowa, and Colleen McCaffrey of Boston; and nine grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. June 28 in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Richard D. Varga Sr.
Richard D. Varga Sr., 69, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 15, 1936, in Detroit. A resident for six years, he was a retired maintenance supervisor in the nuclear energy industry.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon; three daughters, Robbin, Jill and Karen; two sons, Rick and Paul; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
The family suggests donations to the American Lung Association, 3375 Glen Ave., No. 7, Las Vegas, NV 89121.
Susanna Walker
Susanna Walker, 64, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 31, 1941, in Glendale, Calif. A resident for one year, she was a retired sales representative in the cosmetics industry.
She is survived by two daughters, Kimley Russell of Illinois and Julie Dos Santos of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in California. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Lavon Leitha Wickman
Lavon Leitha Wickman, 82, of Las Vegas died June 12 in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 16, 1923, in Beloit, Wis. A resident for 50 years, she was a retired county government court clerk.
She is survived by one daughter, Judy Michaels of Henderson; one granddaughter, Devey Michaels of Las Vegas; one grandson, Joseph Michaels of Henderson; and one great-grandson, DJ Michaels of Las Vegas.
