Summer food program set
The Upward Bound Program at the UNLV Center for Academic Enrichment and Outreach has announced that it will sponsor the Summer Food Service Program, which will provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner service to all Upward Bound students free of charge.
During the school year, Upward Bound students are given the opportunity to get involved in a number of activities ranging from weekday and Saturday tutoring to college prep sessions at UNLV. During the summer, students can participate in daily classes emphasizing academic skills, study techniques and test preparation, as well as various cultural and recreational activities.
Acceptance and participation requirements for the program and all activities are the same for all regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, gender or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.

OB/GYN to teach class
A class for women to learn more about surgical and nonsurgical options for heavy menstrual bleeding 6 p.m. Wednesday The Barbara Greenspun WomensCare Center of Excellence, 100 N. Green Valley Parkway, Suite No. 330.
Dr. Elizabeth Moore, OB/GYN, will conduct the class. To register for the class, call 616-4900.
Workshop studies process of thinking
The Learning Institute for Enlightenment will present a transformative workshop 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Enterprise Library, 25 E. Shelbourne Ave.
The workshop will feature the mechanics of thinking; how to set your thinking into gear to make you a winner in the game of life.
