Commander named for Predator group

Army Brig. Gen. Walter L. Davis has been named commander of the Joint Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Center of Excellence at the newly dubbed Creech Air Force Base in Indian Springs.
The Defense Department announced the assignment Monday. Creech Air Force Base is home to three squadrons in the growing unmanned Predator reconnaissance aircraft program.
Davis most recently commanded the 20th Support Command, which specializes in weapons of mass destruction, at Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland.
