Sierra Pacific Resources, parent company of Nevada Power Co. of Las Vegas, has appointed Philip G. Satre to its board of directors.
Satre retired as chairman of the board of Harrah's Entertainment Inc. on Jan. 1, ending a 25 year career with the gaming company.
The appointment will increase Sierra's board to nine members. Satre's term will run through the company's annual meeting in May.
