Lennar Corp., which builds homes in the Las Vegas Valley under the Lennar and U.S. Home brands, has expanded to Reno with the acquisition of privately held homebuilder Barker Coleman Communities. The cost of the acquisition was not provided.
Lennar will retain the more than 50 Barker Coleman employees and has plans to grow the company. Lennar will continue to build homes under the Barker Coleman Communities name.
Brett Barker and Brett Coleman said they were approached by Lennar about selling the company and was a good opportunity.
