Bob G. Allen

Bob G. Allen, 70, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 24, 1934, in Joplin, Mo. A resident for 42 years, he was a retired hotel bartender.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; and two sisters, Bette Slatoff of Henderson and Twyla Windsor of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled noon until a 2 p.m. service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Charles 'Chappy' DeSocio

Charles "Chappy" DeSocio, 89, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 30, 1915, in West New York, N.J. A resident for six years, he was a retired mechanic for a government contractor, a member of the United Auto Workers and president of the West New York Little League for 25 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mae.

He is survived by two daughters, Dale J. Wilson and Judy DeSocio, both of Las Vegas; one son, Dennis DeSocio of Maywood, N.J.; three sisters, Elsie Maguire and Anne Van Saders, both of New Jersey, and Doloris Maset; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service was scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Willie A. Dunaway

Willie A. Dunaway, 84, of Las Vegas died Friday in Queens Creek, Ariz. He was born May 27, 1920, in Texarkana, Ark. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired aerospace engineer and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Kathy Campbell of Queens Creek; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to an 11 a.m. service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Donald Campbell Frank

Donald Campbell Frank, 78, of Las Vegas died Dec. 6 in Las Vegas. A resident for 10 years, he was born Aug. 18, 1926, in Ohio.

He is survived by two daughters, Leslie Guido and Sharon Mears; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Elizabeth Glassman

Elizabeth Glassman, 71, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 27, 1933, in Turkey, Texas. A resident for six months, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by three sons, Berry Tate of Henderson, Tommy Tate of Joshua, Texas, and Uli Mau'u of Torrance, Calif.; three brothers, Paul Richardson of Amarillo, Texas, Sandy Richardson of Dallas and C.H. Webb of Bloomington, Calif.; one sister, Delta Howard of Joshua; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Hazel F. Godron

Hazel F. Godron, 79, of Henderson died Sunday in a local care center. She was born Oct. 22, 1925, in Newton, N.J. A resident for six years, she was a retired hotel manager.

She is survived by her husband, Marshall E. Sr.; three daughters, Geraldine Sancilardi of Rahway, N.J., Judy Godron of Patterson, Calif., and Willow Arnold of North Las Vegas; two sons, Bruce D. Godron and John T. Godron, both of Henderson; two sisters, Claire Beach and Audrey Husenitza, both of Orlando, Fla.; three brothers, Jimmy Dixon of Orlando, Wally Dixon of Lakehurst, N.J., and Billy Dixon of Lancaster, Pa.; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was scheduled one hour prior to a 3 p.m. service today in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Walter Norville Kupper

Walter Norville Kupper, 69, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospice. He was born July 22, 1935, in Cleveland. A resident for 15 years, he retired from an airline marketing department and was a Korean War, Vietnam War and Desert Storm Air Force veteran.

He is survived by two sons, W. Bradley Kupper of San Jose, Calif., and Michael Kupper of Morgan Hill, Calif.; two daughters, Catherine Kupper of Livermore, Calif., and Elizabeth Kupper of Alameda, Calif.; and his twin brother, William O. Kupper of Floresville, Texas.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Brady B. Miller Jr.

Brady B. Miller Jr., 78, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. He was born March 2, 1926, in Madison, W.Va. A resident for 40 years, he was a retired telephone technician and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Cecellia; three sons, Brian Miller and Mike Miller, both of Las Vegas, and Greg Miller of Hamilton, Mont.; one daughter, Teressa Miller of Las Vegas; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1 p.m. until a 3 p.m. service Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Thomas J. Moore

Thomas J. Moore, 81, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 23, 1923, in Gary, Ind. A resident for 25 years, he was an exhibit group production manager and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Hawley E.; two sons, Thomas J. Moore Jr. and Edwin E. Moore II; one daughter, Kena Khachikian; one sister, Anna Jane M. Nicholas; and four grandchildren.

Elizabeth Anne Price

Elizabeth Anne Price, 75, of Henderson died Saturday in a local care center. She was born July 19, 1929, in San Jose, Calif. A resident for nine years, she was a retired water color artist.

She is survived by two sons, Gregory Price of El Cerrito, Calif., and Steve Price of Roseville, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Thomas E. Simmons Jr.

Thomas E. Simmons Jr., 62, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in North Las Vegas. He was born July 1, 1942, in Prescott, Ark. A resident for seven years, he was a retired school district driver and a Vietnam War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Edith; one daughter, Zona Marie Morris of Atlanta; one son, Thomas E. Simmons III of Las Vegas; six stepdaughters, Lawanda Simpson of Dallas, Barbara Ann Hughes of Anaheim, Calif., Janice Marie Houston of Houston, Dorris Lorraine Evans of Moreno Valley, Calif., Wanda K. Davis of San Fernando Valley, Calif., and Marlaina LaShay Houston of Las Vegas; three stepsons, R.C. Houston Jr. and Michael Wayne Houston, both of Los Angeles, and Morris Wayne Houston of Oakland, Calif.; 27 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Second Baptist Church, 500 W. Madison Ave. Graveside services will follow at 11 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Robert Melvin Tate

Robert Melvin Tate, 78, of Pahrump died Thursday in Pahrump. He was born April 25, 1926, in Colorado. A resident for 24 years, he was a truck driver and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Alma; two sons, Don Miller of Farmington, N.M., and Michael Tate of Tacoma, Wash.; three daughters, Anna Mae Dessavre of Waco, Texas, Dixie Sandoval of Henderson and Colleen Jensen of Cedar City, Utah; his mother, Ruth Tate; two brothers, Jim Tate and Joe Tate, and two sisters, Gordie and Clara, all of Farmington; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Services will be in Farmington. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Jeanne Marjorie Van Buren

Jeanne Marjorie Van Buren, 74, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. She was born Oct. 7, 1930, in New York. A resident for 12 years, she was an executive secretary in the aerospace industry, a member of Positively Kids, Opportunity Village and Traveler's Aide.

She is survived by two sons, Richard Taylor and Jon Van Buren; and five grandchildren.

Kathalean Williams

Kathalean Williams, 93, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. She was born June 2, 1911, in Staunton, Va. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired nurse's aide.

She is survived by one daughter, Betty Wagstaff of Las Vegas; and one grandson, Hollis M. Wagstaff of San Francisco.
