'Claptrap'
Theatre in the Valley presents the farce "Claptrap" at 8 p.m. today, Saturday and Thursday, and at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Valley View Kesterton Recreational Center, 500 Harris St. Admission is $12 general, $10 seniors/students, $6 children. 558-7275.
'Shopping and (expletive)'
The SEAT Theatre presents the play "Shopping and (expletive)" at 8 p.m. today, Saturday and Thursday at 103 E. Charleston Blvd. Admission is $10 online, $15 phone reserve, $20 at the door. 736-4313.

Nevada Chamber Symphony
The Nevada Chamber Symphony will present "A Musical Salute to the New Year" at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Clark County Library Theater, 1401 E. Flamingo Road. Admission is free. 433-9280.
Therapy
Therapy will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Reed Whipple Cultural Center Studio Theatre, 821 Las Vegas Blvd. North, as part of the city's "Studio Straight Ahead Jazz Series." Admission is $7 general, $5 for Jazz Society members. 229-6211.
Thornbird
The rock band Thornbird will perform at 8 p.m. today at the Community College of Southern Nevada's Nicholas J. Horn Theatre, 3200 E. Cheyenne Ave. Admission is $10 adults, $8 students and seniors. 651-5483.
