Fight in stands halts game at Cimarron

A Northwest Division boys' basketball game at Cimarron-Memorial between the Spartans and Mojave was postponed Wednesday after a fight in the stands prompted the use of pepper spray.
According to Cimarron coach Steve Boyack, three or four fans were pepper sprayed in the altercation, which happened with 7:41 remaining in the fourth quarter. No players were involved, but the lingering pepper spray forced a delay with the Spartans leading 50-41.
No make-up date for the remaining game time has been set. The two teams meet again at Mojave on Feb. 2.
