Lanni selected as chairman

The American Gaming Association's board of directors has elected MGM Mirage Chairman and Chief Executive Terry Lanni to succeed former Harrah's Entertainment Inc. Chairman Phil Satre as the association's chairman.
Lanni, elected to the association's board in 1996, will serve a two-year term as chairman. Boyd Gaming Chairman and Chief Executive Bill Boyd also was re-elected to his post as vice chairman of the association.
The association also elected Station Casinos Inc. President Lorenzo Fertitta, Alliance Gaming Corp. Chief Executive Richard Haddrill and Harrah's Chief Executive Gary Loveman to the board as new Class I directors. Penn National Gaming Inc. Chief Executive Peter Carlino was elected to fill the board's open at-large seat.
