Arthur H. 'Chief' Boker
Arthur H. "Chief" Boker, 91, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born May 6, 1913, in Oklahoma. A resident for 59 years, he was a carpenter.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Davis' Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Otis C. Brown
Otis C. Brown, 71, of Las Vegas died Friday in California. He was born Feb. 1, 1934, in Louisiana. A resident for 43 years, he was a hotel cook.
He is survived by his wife, Mary, of Las Vegas; two daughters, Ann Barney of Michigan and Letricia Brown of Las Vegas; two sons, Edward C. Brown and John H. Brown, both of Las Vegas; five sisters, Eula Watt, Rosie Rogers and Willie J. Washington, all of Louisiana, Henrietta Tyler of Wisconsin and Luella White of Las Vegas; 15 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Friday in First Church of God, 827 Balzar Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in New Light Baptist Church, 1165 Lawry Ave. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.
The Rev. William Duff
The Rev. William Duff, 77, of Las Vegas died Sunday. He was born Oct. 28, 1927, in Russell, Ky. A resident for 37 years, he was a retired Roman Catholic priest. He served in many Reno parishes, locally at Our Lady of Las Vegas and most recently at St. Francis de Sales. '
He is survived by four cousins, Virginia Carol Laird, Clint Laird, James Litwinovich and Kevin Wilmot.
Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. March 5 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 1111 Michael Way. A reception will follow. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Mario A. Izzo
Mario A. Izzo, 80, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 4, 1925, in Rome, N.Y. A resident for 50 years, he was a retired casino electronics specialist and a World War II Marine Corps veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Muriel.
He is survived by three brothers, Carmen Izzo Jr. of Las Vegas and Joseph Izzo and Billy Izzo, both of Rome; five sisters, Gloria Izzo and Mary Jane Stewart, both of Columbus, Ohio, and Delores Twomey, Rosella Przelomiec and Jean Moles, all of Rome.
Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
The family suggests donations to the American Heart Association, 6370 W. Flamingo Road, Suite 1, Las Vegas, NV 89103, or the American Diabetes Association, 2785 E. Desert Inn Road, Las Vegas, NV 89121.
Duane H. McGogy
Duane H. McGogy, 79, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born April 28, 1925, in Oregon. A resident for 16 years, he was a retired Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; one son, Robert; and one sister, Kathleen.
Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling private arrangements.
Dante Ari Miller
Dante Ari Miller, 25, of Las Vegas died Feb. 17 in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 10, 1980, in Las Vegas. He was a package handler.
He is survived by his companion, Jackie Seeno, one son, Dante Miller Jr., two daughters, Tiara Miller and Talayea Miller, and his mother, Myra Williams, all of Las Vegas; his father, Freeman Stowers of St. Louis; his stepfather, Thomas Williams, two brothers, Terrill Miller and Thomas Williams Jr., three sisters, Keri Miller, Lisa Williams and Aleshya Williams, all of Las Vegas; and his grandparents, Earline and Walter Winn of North Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Friday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Greater Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church, 1915 Lexington St. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Webster J. Nolen
Webster J. Nolen, 80, of Las Vegas died Feb. 17 in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 29, 1924, in Tanner, Mo. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired chef and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine; one daughter, Rhonda Nolen; three sons, Gary Nolen, Webster Nolen Jr. and Keith Williams; one stepdaughter, Latoya Hall; one stepson, Kevin Flennoy; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 8:40 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.
Alex M. Stewart
Alex M. Stewart, 55, of Las Vegas died Feb. 16 in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 29, 1949, in Arkansas. A resident for 37 years, he was a truck driver.
He is survived by three daughters, Tiffany Stewart, Tenisha Stewart and Jessica Stewart, and two sons, Alexander Stewart and Aaron Stewart, all of Las Vegas; six brothers, Robert Stewart of Las Vegas, Cornelius Stewart and Percy Stewart, both of Fort Worth, Texas, Samuel Stewart of California and Eddie Stewart Jr. and Melvin Stewart, both of Arkansas; two sisters, Annie S. Simpson of Las Vegas and Pearlie M. Washington of Arkansas; and three grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-6 p.m. today in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday in God's Plan Christian Fellowship, 5400 E. Carey Ave. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Thomas Vitale
Thomas Vitale, 72, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 9, 1932, in New York. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired bartender.
He is survived by his wife, Lorri; and one son, Jason.
