Golden Nugget settlement, fine on Thursday agenda

The Nevada Gaming Commission will consider a proposed settlement of a complaint with the owners of downtown Las Vegas' Golden Nugget resort and a $30,000 fine Thursday.
A three-count complaint filed last month by the state Gaming Control Board accuses company executives of two irregularities at the casino's sports book and of Golden Nugget executive Tim Poster misdealing cards in a celebrity appearance last year.
The commission originally was scheduled to meet in Carson City but the session was moved to Las Vegas to accommodate consideration Thursday afternoon of MGM Mirage's proposed acquisition of Mandalay Resort Group.
