Letter: Four more years of awful policies
Friday, Feb. 11, 2005 | 9:21 a.m.
I want to thank Nevada for re-electing George W. Bush.
Thanks for letting him shove Yucca Mountain down our throats. Thanks for letting him propose to take the profits from selling our land and use them to lessen the deficit that he has created.
Thanks for letting him cut subsidies to farmers so that we will have to pay much more for our food, not to mention the harm this will do to the farmers' abilitty to make a decent living.
Thanks for letting him decrease funding for education. Thanks for letting him cut medical benefits for the poor. Thanks for letting him send our troops to die in a war that was, obviously, a personal vendetta.
Thanks for letting him make the rich richer and the poor poorer.
Thank you, Nevada. Are you happy now?
