Rebels finish 14th of 15 teams

PALOS VERDES, Calif. -- Elena Kurokawa narrowly missed a top-20 finish and the UNLV women's golf team came in 14th overall at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge.

UNLV carded a 317 in Wednesday's final round, giving it a three-round total of 943 (91-over) on the par-71, 5,912-yard course at Palos Verdes Golf Club.

Kurokawa began the day in a tied for 12th, but shot a 7-over 78, her highest round of the tournament, to finish in a four-way tie for 21st. She shot rounds of 75-74-78 for a team-low 227 (14-over). Hwanhee Lee followed Kurokawa in a tie for 38th with a total of 232 (75-79-78, 19-over).
