Ilyana Allen

Ilyana Allen, 57, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in San Bernardino, Calif. She was born Oct. 15, 1947, in Los Angeles. A resident for 12 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Billy; six daughters, Vena Marie Pratt, Mia Pratt, Shannon Reynolds, Jeannie Edmondson and Victoria Marguerite Johnson, all of Nevada, and Pora Edmondson of California; one son, James Jefferson of Nevada; her mother, Marguerite Fuller of Nevada; two brothers, Bobby Earl Hall of California and Jesse Hall Jr. of Kansas; two sisters, Mardan "Tina" Robinson of Nevada and Renee Hall of California; 32 grandchildren.

Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Friday in Davis Funeral Home on West Charleston Boulevard. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Greater St. Paul Church of God in Christ, 911 N. G St. Burial will be in Davis Memorial Park. Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.

Alan Frank Barker Jr.

Alan Frank Barker Jr., 21, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. A resident for nine years, he was born Dec. 12, 1983, in Salinas, La.

He is survived by his parents, Alan F. and Elizabeth D. Barker; and one sister, Amy Frances Barker.

A memorial service was scheduled at 3 p.m. today in the Unitarian Church, 3616 E. Lake Mead Blvd. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Willie Lee Battson

Willie Lee Battson, 76, of North Las Vegas died Feb. 2 in a local hospital. He was born March 5, 1928, in Mineral Springs, Ariz. A resident for 37 years, he was a truck driver in the construction industry and a Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Catherine; two daughters, Carrie Ann Battson and Jameisha D. Anderson, and one son, James W. Anderson, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Eliza M. Murphy; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Friday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Portals to Glory Church of God in Christ, 2301 Comstock Drive. Burial will follow in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Mary Virginia Bentz

Mary Virginia Bentz, 79, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born June 24, 1925, in Wisconsin. A resident for 12 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Doug Bentz; one daughter, Marijo Higginbotham; one brother, Paul Sanderson; one sister, Louise Martin; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Mass will be celebrated 2 p.m. Friday in St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 4519 Simmons St., North Las Vegas. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Willie Mae Bradford

Willie Mae Bradford, 83, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born July 1, 1921, in Georgia. A resident for 28 years, she was a secretary for the school district.

She is survived by one daughter, Jackie Lee of Las Vegas; two sons, Legrand Bradford Jr. of Las Vegas and Larry Bradford of Oakland, Calif.; two brothers, Nathaniel Washington of Toledo, Ohio, and George Washington of Lawrenceville, Ga.; three sisters, Willie Lee Scott of Charlotte, N.C., and Nora Odom and Ruth Washington, both of Toledo; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. Friday at Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Pentecostal Temple Church of God in Christ, 1117 N. F St. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Howard Harward Christensen

Howard Harward Christensen, of Casa Grande, Ariz., died Sunday in Casa Grande. He was born Nov. 29, 1916, in Aurora, Utah. A Southern Nevada resident for 59 years, he was a retired UNR professor and an Army veteran.

He is survived by two sons, Dix Christensen of Queen's Creek, Ariz., and Jan Parley Christensen of Casa Grande; two daughters, Manya Carney of Stevenson Ranch, Calif., and Marijo Shumway of Las Vegas; one sister, Ina Littlefield of Midvale, Utah; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. until an 11 a.m. service Saturday in the LDS Painted Desert Ward, 5750 N. Cimarron Road. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North is handling arrangements.

Stanley Cohon

Stanley Cohon, 71, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born June 11, 1933, in San Francisco. A resident for one year, he was a retired interior designer, a Korean War Army veteran and a member of Kiwanis and ASID.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy; two daughters, Cathy Turkell of Los Angeles and Candice Yoshida of Pleasanton, Calif.; one sister, Sondra Turow of San Francisco; and four grandchildren.

Graveside services will be in Monterey, Calif. King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane, is handling arrangements.

Rosalyn L. Damore

Rosalyn L. Damore, 68, of Pahrump died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 26, 1936, in Illinois. A resident for six years, she was a secretary.

She is survived by her husband, William.

Robert S. Devinetz

Robert S. Devinetz, 57, of North Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born April 26, 1947, in West Hartford, Conn. A resident for three years, he was an industrial electronics repairman.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy.

Da'Tracyon Don Shae Hall

Da'Tracyon Don Shae Hall, 1-month old, of Las Vegas died Feb. 1 in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 14, 2004, in Las Vegas.

He is survived by his father, Da Shae Hall; his mother, Letrice Coleman; one brother, Stephen Hall; one sister, Da Shiya Hall; his grandparents, David Young, Armer Hall and Mildred Coleman; and his great-grandmother, Lucy Smith.

Visitation will be one hour prior to a 1 p.m. service Saturday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Charles Ronald Luzier

Charles Ronald Luzier, 67, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born June 4, 1937, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was self-employed, an Army veteran and a member of the Desert Sportsman Rifle and Pistol Club, NRA, and Order of Desert Bighorn.

He is survived by his wife, Kaye E.; one daughter, Patricia Luzier, and one son, Jeffrey M. Luzier, both of Las Vegas.

Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

Kennon Earl McDowell

Kennon Earl McDowell, 56, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. Born Sept. 1, 1948, in Louisiana, he was a driver.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Simmons; two brothers; and six sisters.

Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. until an 11 a.m. service Saturday in Greater Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church, 1915 Lexington St. Burial will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Beatrice Isabelle Nicastro

Beatrice Isabelle Nicastro, 67, of Las Vegas died Feb. 1 in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 24, 1938, in San Pedro, Calif. A resident for two years, she was a schoolteacher.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Woodlawn Cemetery. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.

David Lee Pounds

David Lee Pounds, 41, of Henderson died Monday in a local care center. He was born Jan. 15, 1964, in Van Horn, Texas. A resident for 24 years, he was a brick mason.

He is survived by his mother, Betty Miller of Henderson; his father, Gary Lee Pounds of Bullhead City, Ariz.; and three brothers, Charles Lee Pounds, Gary Lee Pounds Jr. and Richard Lee Pounds, all of Henderson.

Mary Patricia Robertson

Mary Patricia Robertson, 72, of Las Vegas died Jan. 22 in Las Vegas. She was born March 16, 1932, in Ohio. A resident for 41 years, she was a reservations manager.

She is survived by her husband, Fred; two sons, Terry and Tom; two daughters, Pattie Ann and Peggy; and three sisters, Marilyn, Kathleen and RoseAnn; and 15 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Monday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society.

Cornelio Viveros

Cornelio Viveros, 27, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 2, 1977, in Mexico. A resident for six years, he was a printing machine operator.

He is survived by his parents, Hildefonso and Ignancia Viveros, both of Las Vegas; seven sisters, Matilde Viveros, Yvonne Gabriela Viveros, Cynthia Lizbeth Viveros and Andre Viveros, all of Las Vegas, and Amparo Viveros and Gloria Viveros of Mexico; and four brothers, Eulalio Viveros, Ismael Viveros and Juan Carlos Viveros, all of Las Vegas, and Jose Luciano Viveros of Mexico.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Howard R. Whipkey

Howard R. Whipkey, 66, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. He was born April 5, 1938, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 25 years, he was a retired mechanic and a Vietnam War Air Force veteran.

He is survived by two daughters, Frances of Las Vegas and Tracy of Corpus Christi, Texas; two sons, Ray of Evans, La., and Doug of Las Vegas; eight grandchidren; and three great-grandchildren.
