Eldorado graduate makes the best of hometown assignment

Senior Airman Paul Miller, a 1999 graduate of Eldorado High School, was recently featured in the Nellis Air Force Base weekly newspaper, the Bullseye, as a Warrior of the Week.

Miller, the son of Donald and Pimol Miller of Las Vegas, is an aerospace ground equipment journeyman with the 57th Equipment Maintenance Squadron at Nellis. He has been in the Air Force for four years.

Miller, who is married and has a newborn son, told the Bullseye staff that his favorite memory since joining the Air Force was getting orders to Nellis in his hometown.

Off duty, Miller enjoys ATV off-roading, spending time with his family and taking classes on base from UNLV. On duty, according to base officials, he takes his job as a ground equipment specialist very seriously.

"Airman Paul Miller displays leadership abilities far beyond his four years of military service. His positive enthusiasm and superior technical expertise influences peers to show like qualities. He consistently tackles some of the toughest maintenance tasks we encounter daily," said his supervisor in the Bullseye article.

In brief

The two Chaparral graduates learned to install, operate, and perform unit level maintenance checks and services on cable and wire communications systems and perform preventive maintenance checks and services on assigned vehicles and power generators.
