Flamenco Theater to host dance show

African Flamenco Theater will present a program of Flamenco and other dance styles in its fourth annual show starting 7 p.m. Saturday at the Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive.

The show is divided into two parts, with the first part a performance of Spanish/Flamenco music and dance. Featured dances include Farruca, Sevillanas, Tangos, Fandangos, Aranjuez and Alegrias, performed by Evette Aviles, Ramona Esparza, Chelita Lopez, Nicki Tiso and Miguelita.

After an intermission, invited artists will present a variety of dances, which honor various cultural dance traditions, including American jazz and comedy.

The program is supported in part by the Nevada Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts. Call 455-7340.

Black Culinarians set Gourmet Grazer

The Alliance of Black Culinarians will host its 14th annual Gourmet Grazer from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Riviera hotel, the top competition for the best chefs in Las Vegas.

The Alliance of Black Culinarians is a nonprofit organization formed in 1991 to promote education, training, recognition and the advancement of blacks in culinary endeavors.

The organization's charitable focus is youth from challenged communities. Proceeds from previous Gourmet Grazer events have awarded scholarships to underprivileged graduating seniors, provided financial support to Kermit R. Booker Elementary School and school supplies and backpacks to Greater New Jerusalem Baptist Church student members.

Hosts for foreign students sought

World Heritage is seeking local families to host high school boys and girls from France, Germany, Thailand, Korea, Japan, Mexico, Switzerland, Denmark and Italy.

Host families provide room, board, and guidance for a teenager living thousands of miles from home. Couples, single parents and families with or without children at home, are all encouraged to apply.

Day of organ donor awareness planned

Saturn of Henderson will host the eighth annual Saturn National Donor Day 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday the Valley Auto Mall in Henderson to raise awareness and encourage organ and tissue donation.

People who stop by to learn more about organ and tissue donation can enter a raffle for $50, $100 and $200 gift cards from Circuit City. Call 796-9600.

The North Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce

The Sierra Club

A Black History Month Trivia Contest

The UPS Store will celebrate
