Regarding the Las Vegas Sun's Dec. 2 editorial, "Flight security takes nosedive":
The Transportation Security Administration must be very naive to think that a six- or seven-inch screwdriver doesn't have potential as a deadly weapon. They say that allowing objects such as these will give them more time to guard against bigger threats, such as explosives.
I have a brilliant idea. Let's continue the old policy of not allowing sharp objects and guard closely against explosives.
If the terrorists are allowed to bring screwdrivers on a flight, then the least I can do is bring one along as well.
