Wednesday's speech by the president at the Naval Academy was just another illustration of the same old tired, repackaged rhetoric he's espoused countless times before.
If it's true that we are making such great strides in preparing the Iraqis to stand up to the insurgents, as the president claims, why have we not seen any significant number of our troops being withdrawn from the conflict?
It's time for Democrats as well as Republicans in the House and Senate to press the Bush administration to stop the nonsense and do what's right for the nation. Start bringing our troops home.
