SPRINGFIELD, N.J. -- After completing his final round with a two-under-par 68, Tiger Woods had nothing but compliments for the PGA and the way it set up the 87th PGA Championship at Baltusrol Golf Club.

"Extremely fair," Woods said when asked for his assessment.

"Hard, but fair," he added, "Why can't all championships be that way?"

Woods has been critical of the U.S. Golf Association for the way it sets up U.S. Open courses.

"The PGA gets it right," Woods said after finishing the day at 2-under 278.

"They make the rough difficult, but it's playable," he said. "They put the pins in difficult spots, but they're not where they could go over the edge. It's one of those great tournaments, and you go to great venues, but they set it up fair every time. It's never over the limit."

The technician, Frank Choy, who works for TNT, was "basically fine, except for having a banged-up leg," a network spokesman, Jeff Pomeroy, said.

Schneiter's highlight was an eagle on his last hole.
