UMC to offer 'Ask a Pediatrician'

The Family Resource Center at University Medical Center will hold the class "Ask a Pediatrician" from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Aug. 23 at 1120 Shadow Lane (across the street from UMC).

A pediatric specialist is available to answer attendee's questions about their baby's health and how to select a pediatrician. Participants do not have to deliver their baby or be a patient at UMC to attend the class.

Kidney patient convention set

The American Association of Kidney Patients will hold its 32nd annual convention Sept. 1-4 at JW Marriott, 221 N. Rampart Blvd. During the three-day event, kidney patients, as well as their families, friends, caregivers and healthcare professionals, participate in educational sessions and social events. Boys and Girls Clubs get trips to theater

Boys and Girls Clubs of Las Vegas member will enjoy free admission to the movies two mornings each week during Regal Entertainment Group's Free Family Film Festival.

In addition, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Las Vegas will also receive funds to cover transportation and staffing expenses.
