Henderson Police arrest six in recent burglaries

Henderson Police arrested six people Monday in connection with some 35 recent burglaries that netted hundreds of pieces of jewelry, rare coins, guns, cash and electronics with a value of more than $100,000.

Fingerprints left at the scene of some of the burglaries and subsequent police surveillance resulted in the arrests, police spokesman Keith Paul said.

Johnnie Kirkling, 19, Natalie Kebede, 18, Ambra McMillion, 18, Cindy Hernandez, 18, Jessie McGown, 20, and a 17-year-old boy were all charged with possesion of stolen property.

The burglaries occurred in June and July and police thought they were related. In each case, the suspects would enter either through an unlocked window or door or they would throw a rock through a back sliding glass door.

Police conducted surveillance on several suspects and Monday night, they watched as they loaded items from a residence to a car then went at a Budget Suites on Boulder Highway at Flamingo Road. The suspects were seen going in and out with the items, Paul said.

Police obtained a warrant to search the apartment and they arrested five people and another a short time later.

A friend of the suspects showed up at the apartment, not aware that police were inside. Police arrested the would-be partygoer, Darryl A. King, 18, for carrying a concealed weapon.
