‘Echoes of Spring’ set for Doc Rando Recital Hall

Spring, romance and love are the themes of the Southern Nevada Musical Arts Society's Sunday afternoon performance at UNLV's Doc Rando Recital Hall in the Beam Music Center.
"Echoes of Spring" features the music of Mendelssohn, Brahms, Pinkham and Piket. Also scheduled are David Dickhau's "In Time of Daffodils," Richard Rodgers' "It Might As Well Be Spring," Cecil Effinger's "Basket," and the folk songs "Scarlet Ribbons" and "Go Gently From Me, Lover."
Doug Peterson will direct the 21-voice Musical Arts Singers and Nancy Porter will accompany the vocal chamber ensemble in this 3 p.m. performance.
Tickets are $10 for adults; $8 for seniors, disabled and military and are available at the door.
