Patrick C. Boysza

Patrick C. Boysza, 57, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 6, 1947, in Green Bay, Wis. A resident for 10 years, he was an air conditioning laborer and a Vietnam War Navy veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Melanie Hinoyosa of Laredo, Texas; his mother, Jeanine Bone of Hermosa Beach, Calif.; one brother, Joel Boysza of Redding, Calif.; and one grandchild.

A memorial service was scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Dona D. Carter

Dona D. Carter, 60, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 6, 1944, in New Mexico. A resident for 34 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Charlie; one daughter, Carol Ann; three sisters, Sherry, Gayle and Kay; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Duane W. Chisman

Duane W. Chisman, 77, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 2, 1927, in Mondamin, Iowa. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired director of claims for an insurance company, a Korean War Marine Corps veteran and a member of the Masons.

He is survived by his wife, Janice D.; one son, Scott E. Chisman of Austin, Texas; one brother, Chester Chisman of Chandler, Ariz.; and one grandchild.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Monday in Christ Lutheran Church, 111 N. Torrey Pines Drive. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Robert Hayes

Robert Hayes, 62, of Las Vegas died Friday. He was a retired casino surveillance employee and a Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Janet; and two sons, Paul and Jason.

Sunrise Cremation & Burial Society, 745 W. Sunset Road, No. 5, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Brittany Nicole Kish

Brittany Nicole Kish, 16, of Henderson died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 29, 1988, in Modesto, Calif. A resident for five years, she was a Basic High School junior.

She is survived by her mother, Lynette R. Kish, one brother, Cody Bethune, her stepfather, James Coppla, and one stepbrother, Joshua Coppla, all of Henderson; her grandparents, Kenneth and Patricia Kish of Trinidad, Calif., and Domenic and Judith Coppla of Henderson; and her great-grandparents, Dolores and Frank Barnes of Fortuna, Calif.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Henderson.

Gary Laub

Gary Laub, 54, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 13, 1951, in Las Vegas. A lifetime resident, he was a retired heavy equipment operator.

He is survived by one daughter, Kaitlyn Laub, and one son, Colby Laub, both of Las Vegas.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Ralph E. Manor Sr.

Ralph E. Manor Sr., 69, of Las Vegas died April 5 in Dolan Springs, Ariz. He was born April 23, 1935, in Phoenix. A resident for 59 years, he was a laborer at the Nevada Test Site.

He is survived by four daughters, Linda Manor, JoAnn Samuel, Barbara Manor-Riley and Debra Manor, four sons, Ralph Manor Jr., Ernest Manor, Donald Ray Manor and Rodney Newman, and one brother, Charlie Manor, all of Las Vegas; two sisters, Roberta Bryant of Arizona and Cari Lee Daniels of California; 31 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1-8 p.m. Friday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in New Revelation Missionary Baptist Church, 615 W. Van Buren Ave. A private burial will follow.

Nicolas G. Moreno

Nicolas G. Moreno, 77, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 1, 1928, in Michoacan, Mexico. A resident for 45 years, he was a retired hotel cook.

He is survived by his wife, Ofelia; seven sons, Nicolas Moreno Jr., Mario Moreno, Javier Moreno, Jose Moreno, Jorge Moreno, Fernando Moreno and Raul Moreno, and three daughters, Angelica Montenegro, Marisela Angelino and Lorena Moreno, all of Las Vegas; four brothers, Salvador Moreno of El Paso, Texas, and Ramiro Moreno, Jesus Moreno and Ruben Moreno, all of Mexico; 32 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1:30 p.m. until a 3:30 p.m. service Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Geri Peters

Geri Peters, 63, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born July 1, 1941, in Denver. A resident for 10 years, she was a collector in the lending industry.

She is survived by one daughter, Kim Rice of Las Vegas; two sons, Scott Peters of Cheektowaga, N.Y., and Jeff Peters of Tucson; and eight grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 9 a.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Janet Curtis Smith

Janet Curtis Smith, 76, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born April 26, 1928, in Los Angeles. A resident of Nevada for most of her life, she was a retired justice of the peace.

She is survived by four daughters, Cathleen Cassidy of Eugene, Ore., Christeen Vergith of Las Vegas, Margaret Smith-Masanz of Mount Charleston and Marie Hansen of North Las Vegas; two sons, James Richard Smith of Las Vegas and John L. Smith of Mount Charleston; one sister, Nancy Mathis of Las Vegas; 18 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

The family suggests donations to Southern Poverty Law Center, 400 Washington Ave., Montgomery, AL 36104.

David Spivack

David Spivack, 89, of Las Vegas died April 3 in a local hospital. He was born April 20, 1915, in New York City. A resident for five years, he was a retired owner-operator of an optical business, a member of Shomrim Society and Knights of Pythias and was a founder of Meals on Wheels of Broward County.

He is survived by one daughter, Sharon Teplitz of Las Vegas; one son, Paul Spivack of Costa Rica; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane, is handling arrangements.

Alexander J. Weber Jr.

Alexander J. Weber Jr., 71, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. He was born April 10, 1934, in Illinois. A resident for four years, he was assistant director at a drug rehab and an Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce; two daughters, LaSandra Wingate of Virginia and Roshawn Herd of Las Vegas; two sons, Marcus Weber and Michael Barrow, both of Illinois; three sisters, Constance McClellan and Roberta Callands, both of Illinois and Consuella Hawkins of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-8 p.m. Friday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Additional visitation is scheduled 30 minutes prior to a 1:30 p.m. service Saturday at Mountaintop Faith Ministries, 2850 S. Lindell Road. Graveside services will be 1:20 p.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
