Radiation Therapy Services Inc., which operates radiation oncology centers in the Las Vegas Valley, announced today that it has acquired five additional centers.

The Fort Meyers, Fla.-based company operates four radiation centers in the Las Vegas Valley under the name 21st Century Oncology Inc. It acquired five local radiation centers owned by Associated Radiation Oncologists Inc. for $26 million plus performance-based compensation.

Under the terms of the deal, the Associated-owned centers will continue to operate under their current names despite the ownership change. The deal is expected to close in about 30 days.
