StumbleLetter: Comment was way over the line

We didn't care if County Commission candidate Lynette Boggs McDonald was a Republican, Democrat or independent. We didn't care if she was African-American, Asian, Anglo or green. But her remark about a political party and its members as the "one last plantation in America" is both stupid and racist.
We will vote for candidates who represent their constituencies, and for those who think before they speak -- regardless of their political affiliations.
Boggs McDonald has lost our votes. We believe she is unfit for public service.
