Orville Billbe

Orville Billbe, 54, of Las Vegas died Monday. He was born Dec. 26, 1949, in Springfield, Ill. A resident for five years, he was a disabled Vietnam War Army veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Jane Campbell of Panama City, Fla.; four sisters, Jane Hollis of Las Vegas and Crystal Westmoreland, Margie Shipp and Mary Ellen Fritzgerald, all of Panama City; and two brothers, Archie Boyd of Phoenix and Donald Boyd of Panama City.

Visitation is scheduled 1 p.m. until a 3 p.m. service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Marie Freeman

Marie Freeman, 89, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 12, 1914, in Boston. A resident for 17 years, she was a retired from the real estate business.

She is survived by one daughter, Sandi Driscoll of Scottsdale, Ariz.; two sons, Fred Freeman of Henderson and Bob Freeman of Tallahassee, Fla.; one brother, Eugene Simms of Reading, Mass.; and two grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

The family suggests donations to the American Heart Association, 6370 W. Flamingo Road, Suite 1, Las Vegas, NV 89103.

Heather B. Goldman

Heather B. Goldman, 41, died Sept. 22 in a Seattle hospital. She was born Jan. 9, 1963, in Denver. A resident for 35 years, she owned and operated a catering company.

She is survived by one daughter, Brittany Nateece; Brittany's father, Michael Nateece; and two sisters, Jillian Goldman-Brown and Julie Goldman-Ream.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

The family suggests donations to a college fund for Brittany at Weststar Credit Union, Attention: Patrice Staiger.

Cecilia G. Kiesler

Cecilia G. Kiesler, 65, of North Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 25, 1939, in California. A resident for six months, she was a retired registered nurse who worked for 37 years in California.

She is survived by her husband, James; two daughters, Julia Leoncavallo of North Hills, Calif., and Annlee Kiesler of Santa Maria, Calif.; one sister, Hilda Valencia of Santa Ynez, Calif.; and one grandchild.

No local services are scheduled. Services will be Saturday in California. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Frank T. Leon

Frank T. Leon, 75, of Las Vegas died Aug. 28 in Las Vegas. He was born May 30, 1929, in Ray, Ariz. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired porter and an Army veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Cheryl Silguero of Las Vegas; four sons, Frank A. Leon Jr. of LaPuente, Calif., John Bond of Chino, Calif., and Mitchell T. Leon and Jerry A. Leon, both of Las Vegas; 18 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Edmundo 'Eddie' Nepomuceno

Edmundo "Eddie" Nepomuceno, 58, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 16, 1946, in Tarlac, Philippines. A resident for 19 years, he was a hotel maintenance engineer.

He is survived by one son, Edmundo O. Nepomuceno III of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one daughter, Daphne Hernandez, and one sister, Marion Rody, both of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 4-8 p.m. Friday and noon-4 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Viator Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo Road.

Harriet V. Owens

Harriet V. Owens, 85, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospital. She was born April 26, 1919, in Baker, Ore. A resident for 15 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Jack; one son, Jack Owens Jr. of Palmdale, Calif.; and one grandchild.

Joseph Sampson

Joseph Sampson, 81, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local health care center. He was born April 24, 1923, in London. A resident for three years, he was a private investigator and a World War II Royal Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Jeannine; two sons, Charles Sampson and Allan Sampson, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Charles Sampson of London; and three grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane, is handling arrangements.

The family suggests donations to Odyssey Harbor House, 4011-A McLeod Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89121.

Louise M. Sneed

Louise M. Sneed, 67, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 24, 1937, in Tampa, Fla. A resident for 24 years, she was a gaming surveillance director at Lady Luck.

She is survived by three sons, William Sneed Jr. and Ronnie Sneed, both of Las Vegas, and Larry Sneed of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; three daughters, Cathy Watson, Connie Sneed and Cindy Young, all of Las Vegas; two brothers, Robert Wilson of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Andrew Wilson of Atlanta; four sisters, Bessie Batey, Florence Smith and Katie Wilson, all of Murfreesboro, and Evelyn Peppers of Tullahoma, Tenn.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Murfreesboro. Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.

Valentina Y. Sturtze

Valentina Y. Sturtze, 53, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born July 25, 1951, in Galveston, Texas. A resident for 50 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, David E.; three sons, David E. Sturtze Jr., Brandon L. Sturtze and Gilbert L. Sturtze, her mother, Mary Helen Diaz, and one sister, Elizabeth Lonero, all of Las Vegas; four brothers, Robert DeSauvre of Fort Worth, Texas, Gilbert Diaz and David Diaz, both of Las Vegas, and Valentino Diaz Jr. of Henderson; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1 p.m. until a 3 p.m. service Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will be private.

Barbara Lou Tudor

Barbara Lou Tudor, 80, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. She was born July 18, 1924, in Canton, Ill. A resident for two months, she was a retired postmaster.

She is survived by her husband, Lawrence L. Tudor Sr. of Tecopa, Calif.; three daughters, Teresa E. Stevenson of Tecopa, Linda L. Fifield of Imlay and Casey A. Gonzalez of Azusa, Calif.; two sons, Lawrence L. Tudor Jr. of Pahrump and Jesse C. Tudor of Fernley; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
