Conventioneers looked over mining equipment during the MINExpo International mining trade show at the Las Vegas Convention Center Tuesday. The convention runs through Thursday. The MINExpo is billed as the world's largest mining industry trade event. The 40,000 attendees expected this year would better the last show, held in Las Vegas in 2000, by 5,000. Participants have the opportunity to check out the latest equipment and attend sessions ranging from technology to federal environmental policy.
